Sally Faraway: Aromatherapist

After seeing the misunderstanding and misuse of orthodox drugs in mental health as a child, my interest grew in alternative healing.

When realizing the mind, body and spirit are not separate, that we can heal with nurture, natural foods, plants, touch, and understanding, and after taking several courses in Aromatherapy, Reflexology and counselling, I left work to study massage then Aromatherapy and qualified as an Aromatherapist in 1991. I have since treated many clients with physical, mental, and emotional conditions.

Seeing the positive effects of massage on my own children and knowing the wonderful bonding and healing a mother can bring between herself and her newborn, I started teaching pregnancy and baby massage to new mothers and midwives for the NHS in 1993 and continued for 5 years.

Sunrise Clinic

An opportunity came in 1996 to realize my vision for a natural healing centre. With my husband Richard we created Sunrise, a professional multi-therapies practice, with the sale of healthy foods, herbals and supplements, where our customers and clients can reach their optimum health and well-being in a caring, positive, natural and safe way.
