High cholesterol has been identified as one of the risk factors associated with heart disease because cholesterol deposits build up on the walls of blood vessels causing hardening of the arteries, a condition known as arteriosclerosis. If blockages occur in the arteries supplying blood to the heart the result could be a heart attack.
The testing procedure entails taking a small drop of blood from your finger that is placed on to a test strip which is then analysed. Your blood pressure will also be taken and the findings discussed with you and dietary advice given.
For information, important risk factors for coronary heart disease are:
> Family history of premature heart attack
> Diabetes
> High blood pressure
> Obesity
> Poor diet and lack of exercise
> Cigarette smoking
The test takes a few minutes of your time and is carried out by June Sayer, Nutritionist.
To book your test, please telephone 01702 207 017

Experiencing first hand the effects food colours had on her eldest child's behaviour and with an avid interest in complementary health, June decided to explore nutrition further. Already qualified in Homeopathy, she continued her professional development by studying nutrition at the Plaskett Nutritional Medicine College, obtaining her qualification in 1999. Iridology was an integral part of the course, and June may use this skill as an additional tool when taking a detailed case history from you. June is also a Reiki Master and Practitioner.
